Camino de Ronda
The Camino de Ronda invites you to take a walk along the sea, traveling 6.5 kilometers along the coast from the Pilons area to the Lighthouse in Cap Salou (Cabo de Salou). The route consists of 2 sections: from Pilons to Replanells (2 km) the road is fully urbanized and from Replanells to Faro (4.5 km) it is a natural road, not fully conditioned.
Historically, the round roads followed the coastline and were used for monitoring the coast or fishermen. The restoration of this road brings back the possibility of walking along the coast through the points that were inaccessible for many years.
A walk along the Camino de Ronda discovers the great natural and landscape wealth of the area. In addition to the different panoramas that can be discovered along the way, the road runs along beaches and coves, representing a different way to discover the Cap Salou area.
From Pilons, the path goes south and passes through the beach of Capellans, where you can see the remains of the old lazaret built in 1829. The tour continues through the Llenguadets cove, from where you can see the bunkers built during the Civil War. The last part is the Llarga beach, a natural environment located away from the tourist area.
